As humans sit atop the food chain, they inevitably consume the plastic micro-particles and powder they have created. This series takes the form of pottery crafted from materials sourced in nature. The ceramics are molded from porcelain clay, maintaining a thin layer of about 2mm-3mm at the bottom of the bowl and subjected to bisque firing at 800 degrees. Inspired by the ocean, they are glazed with a semi-transparent blue copper glaze and fired at 1230 degrees. Paired with 3D-printed light bases, LED arrays, and the incorporation of ocean waste micro-particles, four bowls are presented, each representing the intention of changing lighting in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. This symbolism reflects the cycle of humans consuming the consequences of their actions.
